The University of Nevada-Reno Wolfpack put on a spectacular show of dominance in their game against the University of San Diego Toreros on Sunday, February 20th. The Wolfpack outshot the Toreros 75-15, leading to a resounding 9-0 victory at Reno Ice.

The Wolfpack’s relentless attack was too much for the Toreros’ goaltender, Emmett Engle, who faced a barrage of 75 shots, managing to save 66. On the other end of the ice, Wolfpack’s Owen Kennedy had a relatively quiet night, stopping all 15 shots he faced for a well-deserved shutout.

Neither team was able to capitalize on their powerplay opportunities, with the Toreros going 0/3 and the Wolfpack 0/2. However, the Wolfpack didn’t need the extra man advantage as they dominated the game in all aspects.

Wolfpack’s Franklin Griffin had a standout performance, contributing with two assists in the game. On the Toreros side, Angelus Almera received the only penalty of the game, spending two minutes in the box.

The Wolfpack will look to continue their winning momentum when they face the Toreros again at home on Saturday, February 21 at Reno Ice. If this game is any indication, the Toreros will need to significantly step up their game to stand a chance against the high-flying Wolfpack.
